The Video Project
Through the agency Stray Motion in Mumbai, ICC required an electrifying video to build excitement for the ICC Champions Trophy. We at Gray Spark Audio were responsible for composing, recording, mixing, and mastering the music and sound design for the project.
Video Concept
The video captures the energy, passion, and anticipation surrounding the tournament. It features intense match moments, roaring crowds, and players preparing for battle on the field. The visuals reflect the unifying power of cricket, bringing together fans from around the world.
The Brief
The music needed to be cinematic, inspiring, and energetic, aligning with the grandeur of the ICC Champions Trophy. The sound design had to amplify the crowd’s excitement, the tension of the game, and the raw power of cricketing action.
Our Approach
We began by reviewing the video and identifying key moments that required impactful musical cues and immersive sound design. Our production team developed multiple demos, and we worked closely with the client to refine the composition based on their feedback until we achieved the perfect fit.
Layers of atmospheric synths and vocal chants were incorporated to enhance the excitement. The final composition was crafted to match the dramatic pacing of the visuals.
For sound design, we meticulously layered and enhanced key elements such as bat swings, ball impacts, crowd roars, and stadium ambience. Additionally, we incorporated strategic sound effects to amplify key visuals in the video, ensuring a fully immersive audio experience.
Final Touches
The final audio package delivered more than just sound—it created a cohesive experience that united diverse audiences. Viewership metrics showed increased engagement during segments featuring our custom audio, and social media reaction highlighted the anthem as a memorable component of the tournament.
